     Request of the City of Dania Beach City Commission to adopt a resolution authorizing the acceptance of a grant award from the Florida Inland Navigation District for phase II construction of the marina project.

Description of Action

     The city administration applied for and was awarded $1 million in grant funding as part of a multi-year award to construct the Dania Beach marina.  The resolution will authorize the acceptance of the grant award.

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary

     The project cost of the marina construction is $7.5 million.  The grant will decrease the amount of general funds necessary to complete the project.  Currently the city has received approximately $2.8 in grant funding.
